Our Lenses & Treatments
Choosing Your Lens Style
We have a wide selection of lens options to match your specific visual needs, so you can enjoy truly personalized eyeglasses that give you clear vision and a fashionable look.
Lined Bifocals and Trifocals
Bifocals and trifocals feature two or three distinct lens powers with visible lined segments. We have a range of widths and depths that can fit your needs, depending on your lifestyle.
Progressive Lenses
This customizable lens gradually increases in power from the top of the lens to the bottom to offer visual clarity at infinite focal distances. We personalize progressive lenses, sometimes referred to as no-line bifocals, for your specific prescription, frames, and lifestyle, so you can tailor where your reading power begins and ends.
Specialty and Occupational
Sometimes, our clients need something that’s a little different, and we’ll always be there to accommodate them. These lenses are often task-specific and can help with a variety of situations, so whether you need a lens specifically designed for office work for extended digital screen use, or near vision lenses for work above eye level, or any other situation, we’ll work with you to find the perfect solution.
High-Quality Craftsmanship and Fine Materials Make all the Difference
All lenses are ultimately the sum of the parts they’re built with, which is why Dietz-McLean Optical only uses quality materials. Combined with our commitment to iconic optical artisanship, our eyeglasses are statement pieces tailored to each client.
Polycarbonate
The first lightweight, impact-resistant plastic lens, polycarbonate lenses are still a reliable choice for quality eyeglass lens material. Polycarbonate lenses are excellent for sunglasses, kids, and sports or safety eyewear.
CR-39
The original plastic lens, these lenses are a bit thicker and heavier than other options, but provide exceptional optical clarity.
Hi-Index
If lens thickness is your primary concern, these lenses may be the perfect choice for you. Hi-index lenses are our thinnest available plastic lenses.
Glass
For clients who don’t like to mess with a classic, we still proudly provide glass lenses. Glass lenses are our most scratch resistant option, and they provide great optical clarity.
Treat Your Lenses to Tailored Luxury
Customize your eyewear even further with our exceptional lens treatments that combine our unique lenses with our iconic artisanal touch.
Photochromatic Lenses
Photochromatic lenses are designed to appear clear when inside but then darken when exposed to sunlight and are an excellent enhancement for your everyday eyeglasses. Though they aren’t a true replacement for sunglasses, photochromatic lenses come in a few different types, and provide ultraviolet and blue light protection.
Lens Tints
Another affordable customization option we offer, lens tints come in a range of styles. We can use this treatment to change the tint of your sunglasses, create a therapeutic effect for your regular eyeglasses, or simply help you make a fashion statement.
Coat Your Lenses the Way You Like Them
We’re able to finish off your unique pair of eyeglasses with custom lens coatings that offer a range of benefits, including the following:
Mirror
Mirror coatings are a colored reflective treatment for sunglasses that can help decrease light transmission, helping to enhance both the fashion and the function of your sunglasses. We have multiple color options depending on the specific application or style, so stop by our store to see everything we offer.
Scratch
While most modern lens materials come with factory standard scratch resistant coating, our optical lab is able to add scratch resistance to any lens material that doesn’t already include it.
